Morning all

Had a few hours on the beacons yesterday fishing the tide down as I was itching for a chuck. None stop action all day with small coalies, the first one I felt for sure was a codling bite but it wasn't to be!! Crab and Razor baits all took fish!

A few pics; The first Coalie and a a couple of shots of the beacons

Well done on the fish, looks like you had the place to yourself. I've never fished it but heard its a deep water mark. Is it very snaggy??:)
Nice pics as well.

good catches will be giving it a shot over the forthcoming week, ive fished there a few times a good cast sees you into mixed ground and its not very snagged, if you walk to the right and cast from where the kelp is its more snaggey but you have better success for codling. imo

nice shots mate ,is this north of newbiggin remember fishing a mark simular having to park up and walking over the golf course ,the gulleys behind was filled with coal and it was a bit slippy on the rocks but a crackin mark ;)

good report.

the north east corner, used to prefer it myself but in the comps, the south beacons seem to be the more consistant proven by results for quantity. (around the camel hump seen at low water- cast to the left of that)
and wack it:D

Cheers all, you are all right! Its north of Newbiggin, you can walk to it from the golf course, church point and also very easily from Lynmouth beach!! Don't think i've ever lost a lead from the North End, but the South end towards Scarborough hole as its known is more rough!! The camels hump is also popular!! Everyone prefers their own tactics at the beacons but for me its chuck for the horizon during daylight (left of the hump is ideal) and at night throw out a hand line!!! Deep water and great platform for fishing at any level of experience!!

prefur the south end of the beacons myself at night in2 scarbourgh hole S/E'ly, good bags.
as said in daylite give it a wack & fish the flood tide - half tide 4 pollock around the middle of the beacons.
