We have a guy at our other warehouse recons he can get a copy of anything. I will see him this morning and ask for a copy of Metropolis.

there\'s plenty of torrents on the internet for metropolis to download, vcd or dvd rips

cinema paradiso
clockwork orange
apocolypse now

pretty high on my list

Any of the Star wars movies.
Any of the Aliens movies
Owt with Arnie in

And Debbie does Dallas.....mind u I only tend to get the first five minutes watched.....Lol

Zulu - THE Best Film in the world Ever

Pulp Fiction 2nd Best

First Blood ( the unedited Version)

Gotta agree davy, the first 10mins of saving private ryan is class.

Man on Fire (Denzel Washington)
The Outlaw Josey Wales, High Plains Drifter etc etc
First Blood

Saw it at the pictures and my jaw dropped. I obviously can\'t tell how close to real life it was, but veterans who saw it said it was as close as it could ever get.

Being There
Koyaanasquatsi (aye I had to google for the right spelling)
The Deer Hunter
Karate Kid IV
Delicatessen

The Normandy landings in the Medal of Honor computer game are quite intense.

Got to add Close Encounters of the Third Kind (special edition) in there. When you watch the making of it you realise just how much effort went in to it. Watch out for R2D2 glued underneath the mother ship!

Tony, agree with Metropolis. Years ahead of its time. Another oldie I enjoy is the original Nosferatu from 1922 featuring Max Schreck as Count Orlok. Interestingly a few years ago I was in St Nicholas Cathedral in Prague which is filled with huge statues covered in gold leaf. One of them was of St. Michael standing over the devil about to slay him. The devil was the spitting image of Max Schrecks character. Got a postcard of it somewhere if anyone is interested in seeing it.

As for modern films - The Shawshank Redemption, Jaws, Apocalypse Now, The Big Lebowski, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Trainspotting.

some kind of wonderfull (john hughes)
the searchers (john wayne)
lord of the rings (any of the 3)
uncle buck
any Bruce lee flick

Mike......Nosferatu......most definitely !!
None of the subsequent \"vampire\" films comes close to being as chilling as Nosferatu. And as for make up - absolutley grotesque........maybe it\'s Maybelline......lol
