I use 80lb braid, and have been using the index finger cut off an old pair of motorcycle gloves for the last 18 months. Bore a small hole at the base of the leather finger on the top side, and loop an elastic band through. I wear it on my wrist until I need to use it then put it over my finger for casting.

Had no problem with the Korda fingerstalls so far - bought 3 and the first one has lasted me 15 or so sessions without wearing on. Mono shocker like, not braid.
