First attempt At Rod Building

Hi
Bought a Conoflex of scaley the other week.
I stripped it down the bare rod sanded it all down recoated it.
put on new shrink tube, new tip , then whipped all the eyes on and used a poxy to seal them all in, rod was finished of today with last seal to shine it all up.
hope it looks ok as never tried this before.

Looks fantastic. How on earth did you manage the eyes so well. I have whipping but it looks crap when I put an eye on.

luck I guess the poxy I used just worked and levelled itself out so well, surprized me.

fish the pier 5:30 am till 10am turned up first cast on new built rod and what did I get a bite thought it was a poxy crab but nooooo I had a whitey got 2 on new rod so was pleased did not blank.
the day light came and did not evenget a bite apart from crabs don't think there was much caught while I was there.

gave the last of my fresh luck to a nesa guy just down from bunker I was in sweaty imax suit lol
