first cast of my new rod

couldn't wait no longer so out I went only had half a dozen casts didn't think it would be so cold couldn't feel my fingers at one point.
this is one powerful rod and is going to take a bit of getting used to it beat me up a bit today have to eat more pies after being sandblasted the cold got the better of me.
i'll have another go when the weather is more favorable.

Looking tidy mate, as you say it takes time to get use to new rod but you got a nice combo there and your technique looks spot on so well done.

A nice little visit to NESA casting and with the help n advice the lads will give it only onwards and up.

getting soft in my old age should of worn my thermals that wind was going right through me.
