well guys i had my first try of fly fishing today and really enjoyed myself. pulling in those rainbow trout was the best buzz ive had from fishing in a longtime. i took 2 for around 2lb and 1 around 4lb i was fishing at the muddy hole in washington. i cant wait to go back lol

funny as i was just talking to my mate about that fishery yesterday at work. Do you not find it always smells of poo up in that area? I have been to the pub a few times and it always seems to (the area not the pub)

never noticed any bad smells mate and its only a small place but its great for people starting up like myself. also well protected from the wind so casting is easy

whats knitsley mill like? its about a mile from my house, could walk down go fishing then get pished lol

knitsley is a fishery i tend to keep in reserve for those windy days, its very sheltered in a southerly/ westerley. not the biggest of places, two lakes of which i prefer the bottom one (top one always seems very coloured) you will always catch fish at knitsle:p. get ya sel's to a proper sized water, the likes of sweethope, caistron, langley or any of the big res' thats what its all about man:D

i will be fishing some bigger marks next year. like i say this was my first session using the fly gear ive just bought alot of gear due to liking yesterday so much lol

All the local stillwaters are fairly small and you are virtually guaranteed fish. I have never blanked on one!

The larger reservoirs mean you have to find the fish before you catch them! Good Fun!!!

If you need any help on the fly fishing, Phil (phil_itofish) knows who i am!

we all havent fished for england as a junior

were all not as good as you

but fook me we enjoy our fishing

I keep telling Insano to have a go at the fly fishing. Its great in the summer. And its on our doorstep. Starter kit at Derwent £120 with a free days fishing. Already has waders all you need is sunglasses and a cap.

When you think of the cost for a days fishing at the coast there is not a lot in it.

Mr expertise here will keep you right-Next summer will be my second year:red:

Mick.
