First time fishing off the rocks! Any safe place were I wont get cut off at all?

pop round to Collywell Bay at low water and you will see plenty of rock marks on your door, if you are worried about getting cut off, watch the rocks as the tide comes in and see when you are safe, would suggest if you also fish during daylight until you get used to the venues you wish to fish.

You could try st mary's lighthouse mate. Take a bucket full of leads with you though.

That's great mate, thanks....Just a bit petrified of getting cut off you see lol. I'll be out by myself and totally want to erase the possibility of the tide coing in behind AT ALL.
not sure of many marks where the tide doesn't cut you off from behind, maybe cullercoats harbor rocks however not sure if you could get on them the usual way with the fences round the pier. not sure of the name of the rock i think its called beacon rock which i think should be fairly safe as its only about twenty yards from the place where you get off the rocks and i dont think the tide cuts you off from behind but the skeers flood fairly quickly so be careful you dont loose your box or bait. As long as you are aware of the tides and have a bit of a recce to view what stage of the tides its cut off you should be okay
I'm looking to find A few rock marks were I WILL NOT get cut off at all!! I live in the Seaton Sluice area so does anyone have any suggestions of safe places?
go and look at rock marks on a big tide,at high water.this should give you some idea of what gets cut off,but not guaranteed,as said fish in daylight to start,and always keep checking behind you.theres a myriad of other stuff fish with someone let people know where your going carry mini flares etc etc the list is endless,but its all geared to you coming home on ya feet not a bodybag

The Beacons at Newbiggin is a good shot, you cant get cut off and its fairly clean ground to the north end, not too far of drive from where you are! You can park at newbiggin golf club or church point, but its a bit of a longer walk from there! Just follow the little path all the way around the golf club! You'll notice the rock marks here that do get cut off, but you cant miss the beacons! They're the high rocks at the north end before you get to lynmouth beach, really good mark!

go to Collywell, south corner you will see crag point jutting out, high water shot but would not advise fishing there because one day it is going to drop into the sea. Just before there down the north side of crag point there are some rocks you can fish off all day, just walk pased the football pitch and the horses field turn left near the end and there you are.

Hartley Skeer is another good shot for you Kenny, you can fish at either high or low tide, from the bottom of the stairs when the water's up moving onto the skeer as the tide goes out. On the flood you simply move back up the skeer towards the stairs. I'd tend to fish it only a couple of hours either side of high or low though, so there's no issue of the tide cutting you off.

and don't fish on your jack jones if you can help it - even if it's flat calm you can still trip and smack your head and then it's goodnight sweetheart
I know we all do it - but at the very least let someone know exactly where you are going and for approx how long
