first time out on local beach

with the sea looking good decided to have a couple of hours at my fav local beach mark,had to be up for work at 4 am today so could only do from 8 to 10-15,took a few fresh crabs and 6 frozen blacks.sea looked spot on when i got there,could see a nice big hole,80 yard thump dropped my bait bang in the middle of it.ended up with two codlings,not big but a start,if i stayed longer think i would have got more as both fish came in the last 20 mins before i packed up.both were about the same size.this ones tea for wor lass tonight,the other went back

Nice goin matey, the codling seem to start to be moging in early, though not in mant sizeable numbers yet.

Had one myself last nite, no where as big as yours, in fact it wouldnt have made a fish finger put it that way!

I walked past you just as you got down the slope im heading down that way tonight fish the tide down a think

me and curtis fished the harbour down to low water and only had a couple of knocks, and a small lobster
