First trip on a boat - Advice

Yep ,a good hearty breakfast ,which can be prepared the night before and then nuked in the morning ,works for me but make sure you give enough time to settle in case the bog beckons :D.

I agree with Tony on the gutting smells ,after a while you don't breath through ya nose while doing it but there's always a naughty stinker that will catch you the odd time and make you feel like you want to " wallace " .
 
if you used say a 50lb main line ,would it not be better to use a lower break and strain line on your rig set up, to minimlise line loss on your main line.
