First winter/last summer session and first open

fished the newbiggin open today with Simon and George, we headed to newton to fish and after a bit of a walk to the mark set up and waited for the start first chuck had a nice wrasse around the 2lb mark, chucked out and got another bite got it to the surface and the line went slack gutted came off think it was a wrasse,about 45minutes past with out a single knock,new bait on and after about ten minutes got a few small rattles witch turned out to be a coley about 40cm time went one and lost another 2 fish to snags but second last chuck got another coley 37cm so went ended up with three fish not to bad after all george blanked and simon got one one codling last chuck for 4lb 1oz

so after weighing my total was 5lb 4oz enough to take first in the juniours lol think i was the only juniour but still had a half decent bag

so won a 50 quid voucher and a trophey lol

i fished the nacker hole at beadnel and hey presto blankety blank, there was fish galore on the point and a few off dell point. sods law

Well done Curtis it was my first open in the north east I weighed in 2 cod for 6lb 2 I was well pleased an got meself a greys fleece for my efforts. I was at craster

On the big skeer in front of the castle mate so more like dunstinburgh. What a walk there an back..... No good for a little fat lad like me lol.

I fished the rocks at creswell aswell with my mate and we both blanked
Had 1 crackin knock even made the stand rattle but came to nothing
Tried the powerstation beach after and didnt even get a bite
