First Xmas since i can remember

Well this year must be the first Xmas since i was about 5 that i am not getting any fishing gear of any kind....it is my choice but you have to draw the line somewhere...the lads that know me and been to my house will understand why lol i have a whole room dedicated to fishing of every kind....Infact i think a good clear out is needed, some of the gear is unused...so this year every man and his dog who ever buys me something has been told..NOTHING FOR FISHING.

Anyway am bored from looking at flight time tables and airports so thought i would share that with you :)
 
haha yeah i am the same i was forever picking up reels and rods..then i had a dab at fly fishing so i bought all that gear...then fly tying...then abit ledger fishing...then boat fishing got me hook line and sinker...then i had an accident at work and had to leave so i havent had a car since!...so fishing is once or twice a year...so im getting busy in the garden till a cheap boat pops along and takes my fancy to do up and use a friends car to tow it.

Aye Rich, I know what you mean, at this time of year sitting in the house bored, i usually scan EBAY etc for bargains that i don't really need, this year though i have'nt bought anything to do with fishing......much to the wife's delight.....:)
 
I have spent the last 4 days, looking at fligths to Norway, times, kilo amounts, rod tudes, taxi prices, Norway food and fuel prices, sea bed maps and wreck locations for the area lol i am not that bored just sick of looking so a change of thread was good :)

Think am going to ask for a years worth of fuel for the boat...that all i can think of...ow and west winds with sun all year but i maybe pushing it :)
 
i worked there in the late 90's, about an hours drive north of Bergen stunning scenery and the fish were biting well then ( from the shore )..... but the drink was rather expensive... the word "extortionate" was used by us frequently
 
Where we are going i dont think any Ladies will be around, its abit close to the old north pole...any way if they attractive i got nee chance anyway so i will just fish :)
 
King crab and only if you smoke tabs all day, shout at the crew and have 20ft waves crashing over the boat...onyl crabs i will stand a chance of catching in Norway. :)

I know, dont have an other hobbies, thou i have just asked for the new medal of honour game, that will keep me going until i have the boat to paint in March.

you getting anything new Graham for Xmas to try on the pond next year? hope you are well stocked with pirks and leads..i had a count up on Friday (bored again) i have 216 10oz leads, 54 8oz leads, 98 10oz pirks and 127 7oz pirks along with a bucket of leadheads so i am stocked up until about June :)
 
Start work (days) on the 23rd to 26th. Then start work (nights) 31st to 3rd . What More Could I Possibily Want :rolleyes:

Re-new Rod Licence, Club Memberships For My Carping and a boot full of lead for Lovely Days Out Onboard Stingray :D :D :D
 
Lovely days out needs to be the word...as most windy wet days out but still fun...the cooker helped this year when the weather was bad :)

Ask Santa for a new cooker one that dosent turn the cabin into a fireball:o :D :D
Can't wait for the aroma of tins of all day breakfasts or curied potatoes filling the air along with smoke and flames ;)
 
That was only once and it was a cold day so it warmed the boat up, wish i could of had a pic of this face when i lauched the on fire gas bottle out the door, not moved so fast.......fixed that problem now (should of complained to Millets really as only 3 months old), the fire proof none return valve for the gas was emmmm returning :)
