AH NA LADS ITS NOT SHORE FISHING! ive been out for three sessions on the shore only 1 keeper ,and out on the high rocks cresswell last night not even a bite for two of us,but just like to say was out off the church point the smorning Myself /Dave/Geoff were off in the in the kayaks ,me 7cod 7 for dave and 1 for geoff unusual? we must of put 50 small codlings back on border line all for a couple hrs because of the wind ,anyway to cut along story short there is loads of cod just lying off a 1/4 of a mile off the church point newbiggin just waiting on them to come in, and i think they might be in numbers ah hope! just to give the lads thats not doing all that good on the shore a little hope including myself who is not doing very good at the minute ,Benny

ps: tried kayak fishing for a few months about 3 years back now, never caught a thing as didn't have a fish finder and didn't have a spare £200 plus to buy one

I couldn't sit in the damn thing for more than an hour either mind, due to a major lower back problem.

Great fun mind and I do miss paddling out to "The Can" off Whitley Bay. Never missed dragging the kayak back up past the little boat hut though

Hey, I think we seen you coming back in, I was one of the two lads just heading out, we had a cracking session with over 30fish each. I kept 11, one was a 8lb ling and 4 where between 4-5lbs and the other where gut hooked.


Got greeted by a few seals and shared the are with a pod of harbour porpoises coming withing 10-15ft of the yaks... was awesome.

Well done lads, told you plenty fish to be had on the way up, just need them just to come in a bit closer ,for the shore fishing and a nice ling cracking sesh and great just to get out,,,, Benny

Hi lads been away 4 a while,just want 2 know if there many of u lads out there with kayaks as i would like to take it up,fed up with shore fishing now,not like it used 2b.
