Fish quay.

DB4111 and I had 4 hours up to high water . Absolutely great to be out but really cold. River came up to a good level and looked as if it would fish well. Dave had flatty about 13 or 14 ounces then I had a whiting near a pound then Dave had a whiting about the same weight. Bait was smelly bluey, rag, runnydown and squid. We will start fishing river Wear at Bishop Auckland now and take some freshwater fish out . :thumbup:

i used to fish wear terrace The batts where i lived facing the river ok for sea trout may june onward depending on water levels but native trout seamed to be cleaned out of decent size

Still some good brown trout to 4lb caught every year. I had some good fish last year and will get some good fish this year. Some good places to fish all along the river and it is very comfortable to get to.
