Its that time of year when I strip my boat reels down, and change the line/ braid.
Can you please post your views on what is the best / worst type of braid to get.

Many thanks.

Never tried the 3000 XF, has anyone else???

about 90% of our fishing is done with 20lb fire line
and we cant fault it and this is what we use for wrecking
it is not the thinest but has a coating on it and if you get tangled with anyone it will undoo very easy not like others

Dynon is a robust braid but the downside is that it soaks up water like a big old sponge which takes the edge off bite detection and tide-cutting performance. Fireline is probably the strongest fused line out there, but it is very thick in comparison to most modern braided/fused lines, and tests show the actual braking strains to be nearer twice that advertised on the spools. Try a simple spring-balance pull-test for yourself…you will be surprised at the results.
Having used most of the braids available, I would suggest that Power Pro and the new Daiwa Accudepth are currently the best available.

Dynon is all ive used for the past 10 years and wouldnt change it ,dont need to try others when the one you got is the best !
