kick him off why a think yous want to get some humour hes avin a laff man,he wasnt takin the **** ,the same lad would take anyone fishing,i had a laff but im confident ect with my sexuality,chill out lol
I think people might be getting upset because he didnt post any pics! Have to say I took what he said as a joke, but I am used to stuff like that from other forums I am on - but not everyone has the same sense of humour.
As for a fishing buddy - It's something I have thought about posting on here a few times, I have only been shore fishing this year and am uneasy at times when I go out on my own. I am from a still water background and I know my skills are really low from a sea/shore fishing perspective. Perhaps we should arrange a meet or get together somewhere sometime? Share some knowledge (or rather numpties like me can steal knowledge form those who know much more
)

i agree billys humour takessome understanding and hes not much in the looks factor youl never see him modeling underwear in the catalogues ect pmsl,but it was humour, i can and will tell you summat about the bloke??? i fished a big open with him one day and he kicked my arse
he won a greys appolo 14 footer and he took it straight over and gave it to a young boy who fancied trying seafishing 
wasnt a relation or anything,at the time i thought u stupid get but now i just know thats the way he is and hes glad to help anyone who would deserve help ,so im not licking hes arse or trying to justify hes humour im telling yous hes not a tatie like some think he is,anyway just telling you my view thanks lads,tight lines plum

Join a club, mate. They're cheap, sociable and you'll learn more about fishing from asking the old salty dogs who've been fishing for years than by doing anything else. They fish matches, and even the roving matches usually see the club members fishing along the same stretches of coast.
Another good way to get comfortable night fishing is to go to beaches that aren't pitch black and have some glow from the streetlights like Tynemouth and Whitley, for example.
(And if you ever go to Blyth, look out for Billynobaits and his pals lurking in the dunes!)

Whats tynemouth like at the minute? does it get busy or is it ok for a learner to make a few dodgy casts etc without being laughed at? It's only 5 mins up the road so could be worth a shot if it fishes ok.
Ha ha ha haNot weird at all luv.I'm not keen being on me own.fishin up Blyth,and other
remote spots.I'm a tranny,you see(no,not a ford diesel tranny) a man who
feels more comfortable in a dress,than a pair of troosers.
Why,it was only a week ago,when i fell into the surf at Blyth,that someone,
who gets on here,but shall remain nameless,tried to give me a portion,whilst
i was semi conscious,lying there,with my dress around my waist.
This frightening experience,has unnerved me somewhat,and has resulted in
me being afraid to go fishing alone,dressed as a girl.
I would love to accompany your good self,on a fishing trip,safe in the
knowledge,that if that dirty ba---rd,tries to jump me again,there would be
someone there to defend my honour,and if anyone starts bothering you,
i'll just lift me dress up,and run at them,with me gear flapping about.
This generally has them thinking of better places to be.

If you're after fishing cliffs or rock marks then you're obviously better off not going alone, but there are plenty of comfortable/safe night fishing marks to fish alone, me, I fish the shields beaches, marsden beach, ssp, roker pier when it's open, and the south side of the Tyne - walkway, market docks, jarrow park. Theyre all safe marks to fish alone, I quite enjoy sitting on the beach at night with no one around.
As for billynobaits... I thought it was funny, a bit weird like, but had a laugh at it, I don't think he was taking the pi$$.

apology.I meant no harm,and in fact,i wouldn't have responded to your
post,until the word 'weird' caught my eye.It was then,that my childlike
mischeiviousness took over.It's far too cold,this time of the year anyway,
to fish in womens clothes,and if we were to meet,i'd be in my chesties.

No harm done billy shock was me first thoughts until mick (endurothumers) eplained
about certain ppl who use the beach as well and seen the funny side of things
