amble in northumberland has 2 or 3 good sites and good fishing with some cracking fishing in the area. Also workington is a good area ST BEES is a good site and good fishing.Whitehaven and Maryport area is all in a small radius. Have fished the area as many times as i can count. CUMBERLAND SAUSAGE best you will ever taste in workington. hope this info helps you . its a canny cheap area for what your looking for.
