hi new to the forum, ive just took up shore fishing again after a few years off,my problem is the chap i go fishing with cant walk very far due to a disability,so im looking for decent spots to fish from,we tried cambios wall and a few spots up the tyne but no luck, somewhere with fish would be nice ,any suggestions ? ;)

Sandsend Car Park near whitby can provide very good sport 2 hours either side of high tide - and you could fish from the car.

Might be too far south for you though. :D

Roker Pier, The Rat House, Opposite the Glass Centre on the Wear, Golden Lion, Catchy rock on the Wear, Fish Quay North Shields, I think the Seaham piers have good access if you\'re a SAC member. Seaham Hall beach, watch out for the Bizzies. I\'ll try to think of a few more, pm me or keep posting for details. There\'s a good few out there bri.

At least a couple of lads have been on the board in the past with similar requests for friends or themselves. Foxy rings a bell I don\'t know if anyone\'s still in touch with him? He may be able to help. I\'m sure the local clubs would give you info as well. Give Billy Brown from Billy\'s Tackle N. Shields a shout, I\'m sure he could put you onto some good info.

Aye I know the Lad bribones asked for \"Decent\" marks so just had thee wishsts about the Wear marks. ;)

Hi bribones,

Have you tried the Mill Dam area at South Shields?
Litterally can be fished \"from the car\" and is quite a popular mark, especially for whiting, coalies, flounder and eels.

you could of mention hendon wall as well Ell. Fishing form the car is compulsory there if you actually want to drive home afterwards...

actually its not that bad there really, just divvent wear a toon shirt, and make sure you ask for cheeesy chips in the chippy.

How Sparky, I can lob a Calor Gas bottle through yer fucking Mainsail from here, watch yersell. Mark is your new ride the one with the Landrover sticker on the side?

Try marks around the Copthorne Hotel, newcastle or the proms along the business parks at Scotswood. All usually give up flounders etc as well as codling when conditions are right. Comfortable fishing with little walking.

Hi bri. just got to agree with Mark. Try Hendon wall it can ba a fantastic spot. High water only mind. Don\"t leave your keys in the ignition though as it might be gone lol.

Jim.

thanks lads ive made a note of these re hendon wall hopefully someone will nick the car :D any good marks along the coast ? that dont require running out of line before you hit water, thinking of trying the slipway at pottery bank sometime this week as well, cambios is great if you like fishing for seaweed :D TC directions to mill dam please ?

err....might be, and if your not careful I\'ll force you to come out in it with me!

Iknow you can get a car onto Whitley Bay prom via the rendevou cafe arches cos wee\'v done it before not to sure how legal it is? but we have\'nt had a probalem with it,, then again it was always at nightime and in the winter, not mant people around at that time just a few dog walkers and otheranglers..

hendon prom dan do well esspecially ifa bit of swell is running. the wife has caught some good bass there.second bay from left good, bandstand and next bay good very good at times, right hand side good but cant realy be fished by car.seaham prom near the hall is good at times but go evenings so no one reports you for being on prom.or join seaham club may be able to get disabled badge prom pass which allows you to park on prom. no t a definate as limited supply..as the other lads have said glass centre under bridge on the other side or down by the fish quay, rathouse corner but you have to be lucky to park near by as it is a popular mark.

ill keep adding to this post for the benefit of others as were looking round the marks anyway

cambios wall is easy access both for the river and the sea but tends to be rough on the seaward side with heavy tackle losses

black middens or near enough at the sea end of the fish quay looked a good spot near the wave catcher thing we didnt try it as the tide was way out but will do at high tide

saint marys isnt bad either you can park near the causeway and fish either side once again a bit rocky unless you cast into the inlet on the left first carpark is ok as well on a high tide

ill keep em coming as i find em ,off to amble tommorow i think

hi bribones, dont know whats it likew now but the car park at the black middens next to fish quay used to fish realy well for plaice up to 2lbs 1up 1down hook rig 1/0 vikings using ragworm have a look at low water and see where the rocks are and cast as close to rocks as you can at high water, you need settled weatherno problems getting car nicked the only thing i,ve heard negative the lads have been putting tyres in for crab, never fishjed it for a while now interested myself in what it is like, used to be realy good, if you fish hendon prom take two big dogs with you which hav,nt been fed for a week if you get my meaning regards john

thats the place i mentioned above next to the wooden posts running out into the tyne ,seen a few tyres as it happens :D the place we parked youd be able to keep an eye on the car as thered be 2 of us fishing,i think ill give hendon a miss until i can afford the dogs either that or ill take wor lass and let her sit in the car all night ;)

Sorry it\'s taken a while to get this posted, bribones.........
