Fishing King Edwards Bay

I'm thinking about giving King Edwards Bay a shot next weekend, from around low water. Can anyone give me any pointers on where to fish from down there?? I don't have any waders though :p So will that make fishing from there a no-no??

Certainly a no no from the beach or skeers so low water would be out (unless you can cast for miles then you won't need to get your feet wet). The ebbs probably better than the flood and if there are any holes on the beach you're looking in the left and right corners. Personally I find more and better fish come from the south end, casting up the side of the Castle Rocks. Of course there might be a sand bank in the middle of the beach and that'll alter how it fishes. You need to get down and have a look.

You can fish King Eddies from the prom at high tide. If it was me I'd buy a pair of thigh boots and be done with it.

i don't know what you are after in terms of fish but i fished it last sat & wed over low water 2hrs either side of low water (at night ) sat had 8 flattys & my 1st codling of the season wed 4 flattys that was fishing from the middle of the beach with a flatty rod & 2oz lead pinged out using a 2 up hook flapper baited with rag tiped with macky (not wed though as i found out when i got to the beach i had left the frozen fillets on the rad in the kitchen just for 5 while i put the stuff in the car :red:) hope this helps :) i think the low tide this week is quite late
