I know it's not technically boat fishing but I am in Singapore with work and on a ship so close enough.
I had the chance to venture ashore and visited Fishing Paradise for a few hours. The rates to fish were reasonable including tackle hire and bait. I ended up having a cracking night with some great advice given from the regulars there.
I landed three cat fish and lost a few off, one of the ones I lost would easily have been my biggest fresh water fish. It looked about four foot long when it surfaced but never mind!
All of the fish gave a great account of themselves on the light gear and I will be back if I get a chance before heading home next week and dusting down Black Betty for a bit of uptiding and wrecking if the weather permits.
