I use the same rod & rate it very highly indeed, make sure you buy the 5 -8 oz rod, not the light duty version.

I bought 1 a couple of weeks ago (5-8oz) and can't fault it 1 bit. Very stiff rod but has very good bite detection. What else can ya get brand new for £100!

This rod has to be one of the best rods on the market, ideal rod for all uses, rough ground to clean beaches, bite detection is excellent & it does not flap about in the wind.
10 /10 from me.

ive been using a dam adrenaline....same blank as the rt ax...and for the past 2 seasons i have used it up and down the east coast and it has coped with cliffs at bempton.....all the kelp in various gulleys while after red cod and even managed smuts and rays to 14lb down holderness....for the £89 i paid for it..its gotta be the best deal ever........outstanding value for money..

i was talking to charlie the boss of friarage tackle shop on the headland hartlepool, he told me [and what this guy dosn't know about all aspecs of sea fishing is't worth knowinig] that the only rod he uses is the ron thomson accelarator, if it had a name like connoflex or greys stamped on the side of it, the excact same rod would cost you 200 to 300 pounds, and i think he is right.

Charlie has just had loads of new gear for his shop. Some top dollar rods out the back. Also has some canny sundridge floatation suits for £80.

I'm going to buck the trend here as two of my mates have them and I don't think they are a pleasant rod to fish with, they are just too stiff and it's hard to say what sort of action they really have. They are dull have very little feeling and are not a very nice rod to cast at all, basically a clothes prop with rings on. I suppose they would be ok for skulldragging fish through the kelp but for clean beaches i doubt it. Let's say your fishing blyth beach with a little sea running that tip would rip your griplead straight out downtide and be on the beach before you new it. But there you go, you can't please everyone.
