Fishing Tynemouth

Fished the pier last nite and blanked on rag and lug.
Conditions were really poor and left around 10.30.

Does anyone have a really good low tide spot with a bit of shelter from rough weather?

Welcome to NESA mate - most of the shore marks I can think of are pretty exposed to the elements....however I don't know all the hotspots so I'm sure someone will be able to help ;):)

Welcome to NESA mate, all depends on which way the wind is blowing,on a big tide with the wind blowing from the South East Cresswell Carrs at Cresswell is worth a try, best to have a look in daylight to get your bearings with most marks,if you way up which way the wind/sea is blowing you can find a few sheltered spots like The Prom at St Marys if a big North Easterly is blowing (High Tide),the Island gives you the shelter and makes the fishing more comfortable. The South end of Blyth beach/bay at Seaton Sluice on a South Easterly and the Middle to North End of the bay on a North Easterly.Just depends on how confident you are at fishing in a big sea especially rock marks.
If there is a certain area you are looking to fish leave a post and someone will help you out with the best times, baits and tides etc.
Edit
Tides are too small for Cresswell

welcome big dirk, dont want to be a party pooper, but you should not be fishing on Tynemouth pier at night, when I was away on holiday two numpties got stuck on the pier and wouldnt come off. It cost the rescue services thousands of pounds for the actions of these idiots and put the lives of the rescuers, one of which was my son, in danger. please stay off the pier or you could well end up like the few who have lost their lives fishing from it when they shouldnt, if you are married with kids think what this would do to your family, and what for a few fish.

I f you have a motor get down to Hartlepool some good spots there. Middletons canny in rough weather.Red light is as well.
