Keith,
I bought the Excalibur blank, for 2 reasons, I fish a low reel seat and the single leg guides
Although I must say my mate has fished 3 seasons with his and the Kigon single legs haven,t budged and that rod gets some stick.
However, I chose the blank , as I said to position the low reel seat for my style and ringed it with Fuji Torzite,s guides.
One problem, the tip is 3 mm and they only do a Torzite tip tube size 2.8mm, so I opted for Fuji tungsten with Sic ring.
You need a size bigger with Sic if matching with Torzite as the Sic is a thicker wall so the hole size and bottom of ceramic to rod matches the first rings.
Got the guides from Mudhole in the states and Hopkins holloway (guides,n,blanks) HH didn't,t have the smaller sizes or tip. Those guides look brilliant.
