flattie fishin off the beach

lookin to try flattie bashin of the beach-anyone know of any good places to fish the surf usin light gear(bass rod and abu 6000)----also best methods to use and when would it be worth starting---is it any good tryin from now----is seaton sluice any good?

Jim (willywetegg) got a couple of nice flatties off the north end of whitley beach fishing off the prom at St Marys at high water last week.

if you dont want to travel too far try the north end of Blyth beach around low water.

sandy bay can still be good. used to be swimming with them...not as good now though.

i would opt for druridge bay,anywhere along that stretch produces flatties,
