went over 3 hours before low water and fished till 1 hour up.used fresh rag from lewis tackle, they had just come into shop and were spot on although I did get a few nips -lol.fished along left side into crisps gully ,used a 12ft drennan pike float rod that has a great tip for flicking floats out.head hooked a big rag worm on a size 4 esp carp hook and after checking depth set the float at about 14ft.got a couple of wrasse and a coaly.nothing big,the one in the pic was just the bigger of the two.can anyone tell me if you can stay on the island over high water and fish crisps as there would be a much better depth there at high tide.the water today was nice and clear

The West Bay skeer gets covered at high tide but you can still fish from the north end of the Island towards Crisp's. Go onto the island and down the steps by the toilets. Fish the corner straight ahead of you.

Nice one Peter - as Kev1n says, you can fish Crisps over high-tide from the island no bother - in fact I suspect it would be a lot more productive on the float given the extra depth of water.

Gary :)
