Float fishing

Almost that time of year again to get the float gear out and look for some pollock/wrasse. I know my float rigs are basic and outdated, something I need to get better at even if I only use them for a couple months a year.

Could anyone recommend a relatively easy to put together and adjustable rig for float fishing?

Looks canny handy that, cheers. I’ll have a proper look once I get back from work.

Whilst my basic float rig does the job, I often think when I’m re-tying my knots to adjust depth – “must be an easier way to do this”

Use power gum for the sliding floats stop knots, wont burn or damage your mono main line.Move stop knot up or down to suit what ever depth you want to fish your bait at.

That's all I've ever done. Works well with a bubble float too, which gives you a lot of extra distance. I know they're old fashioned - but the fish don't know it.
