Well, the first NESA Fly fishing comp/get together took place today in sweltering conditions at the Derwent Reservoir.
After a quick meet up in the car park, we paid our dues and headed off to fish our chosen marks.
The fishing was by no means easy an although the early morning mist offered some respite from the anticipated sunny conditions, it wasn't long before the mist burnt off and we were gradually cooked by the sun, high in the sky. I fished sinking line with lures to pick up my 3 fish, losing another 4 that managed to shake the hook.
I hope a good day was had by all, and hopefully more people will be able to attend the next one.
