It was my 50th birthday last year and SWMBO thought she would get me something a bit different for my present. She got me a flight in a hot air balloon and if the weather is ok then I will be taking it tommorrow evening.

Really looking forward to it and getting loads of photographs while I am up there.

Will let you all know how I get on when I get back.

Paul we take off from Allensford just outside Consett, as for where we land that depends on which way the wind is blowing lol. :o

Mark, we won't be anywhere near the coast mate. Pity though as I might have got some handy pictures lol.

Weather looks purrrfect for it Jim, I seen the Virgin Atlantic balloon out yesterday cira Tow Law , have a good un mate, see you soon

Daren Lives in Hebburn.......I can give you GPS co-ordinates for his house if you want 'em......lol.....as far as the spitting over the side goes (as John Wayne said...."it's all about windage and elevation")...lol.

Have a good trip m8 - looking at the weather forecast, I can't see any problems for you. Giz a wave if ya over Shields :D

Won't be travelling that far Tony, the ride is only an hour long and I doubt if the wind would be strong enough to get me there in that time lol.

Enjoy it Jim ,I know you will ,avoid " the rocket " if you head over my way ,it would take a lot more than a canny bag of tudor crisps to make me go near it these days :)
