I dare say that most of us like a bit of a drink in the house ??

If I\'m having a pint (or several) of John Smiths, a lump of Cheddar cheese with crackers & pickle goes great.

Sometimes (in one of my (rare) more \"sophisticated moods...lol), I\'ll have a bottle of French red wine with Brie, grapes and crusty bread......mmmmm....deelishhhh !!

What the f@%* can you have with whiskey??.......I\'m sat here (again) drinking some very nice \"produce of Scotland\" and I\'m starvin\'......BUT haven\'t got a clue what would go with it (other than than haggis \'neeps & tatties).....but I\'m saving THAT \'til next month.

Cheese and bits still works with that mate. Sometimes about now I will have a big Ham and pease pudding sarney That really hits the spot when I am chilling.
A bit different when I have been in all night. Usually just having cheesey snacks. Will have to make an inventory lol.

Jim.

Cheese and pickled onions, or if I can be bothered, throw some nacho\'s in the oven, covered with grated cheese, chicken and jalapeno\'s...food of the gods ;)

Got to agree with Jim about the cheese and crackers with whisky. I prefer a strong mature cheddar and the oatmeal type crackers. Although my favourite for whisky has to be wafer thin smoked salmon slices and cream cheese (philidelphia) in a bagel :P

Got mesell all hungry now!

Well I\'m along the same lines lads ,Glenfiddich, extra strong cheddar and strong pickled onions..heaven. Or sometimes plain or cheesy nacho type thingies with home made dip -chillie,garlic,onions,peppers.
Right now look what you all did ,I was going to stay off the drink for a few weeks and now I could murder some of Scotlands finest ,although I have got the breaking strain of a Kit Kat. Looks like it\'s off to Asda and keep the fetive season going just that little bit longer, I hold you personally responsible for the deterioration of my liver TC....OH AND THANKS!!

IVE GOT BLACK TOWER WINE
BOTTLES OF STELLA
AND A LITRE BOTTLE OF BLUE SMURNOFF

AND MY DOCTOR WONT LET ME DRINK

BOOO HOOOO

Just remembered I have 24 cans of Boddingtons in the spare room and a crate of Grolch. CHEERS lads will start on them tomorrow. :P

Jim.

if you like geet hot stuff get your lass to get a jar of \"Geetas Chilli pickle\" its the one with green chilli and spices ,like the one out the spice tray at your local Indians

it Blows your Knackers off but is so addictive you end up eating with most things , mine was Cheese and crackers also last night with heaps of this and it was a joy

BUT if you dont normally eat this type of scran take Care cos it does hurt you as my fatha in law will vouch. Ha Ha Ha :D :D

Asda sell it But get the Extra Hot One ;)

Another one !

Fav food and drink.....hmmmm

When I am in a drinking mood then it would have to be a jack daniels and lemonade (cannot drink it with coke.....urgh) a few slices of lemon and/or lime making it a bit of a whiskey sour and loads of ice.....ooh they were nice on friday night ...(I had a couple of them but then that was all i could have considering Ian polished off MY bottle of Jack Daniels along with approximately a dozen cans of John Smiths....He was very drunk...but I digress) ;)

to eat...well it is normally barbeque season when these happen so it would either have to be a bit of freshly grilled macky, cod or ling whhat ever was caught that day with a smattering of sweet chilli sauce or if no fish available then honey mustard chicken......mmmm....

Going back to Brih\'s post. I have a jar of pickled chillies and am waiting the right moment to open it. Had some in Turkey two years ago and they were the bizz. Not too hot but hot enough. SOON.

Jim.

I\'m supposed to be becoming less colossal at the moment (New Years Resolution). Now I want to go and get the whiskey out. Several bottles arrived for Christmas. But what to have with it....? Like the sound of smoked salmon. Maybe I should wait for breakfast and have it with porridge.
