the lead im using came from balance weights on medical equipment,when you cut one it looks like the inside of a bar of aero chocolate

maybe its mixed with some other type of metal to give it the lighter weight

aye a sort of monkey metal,i have some "proper lead will give that a try one day soon

Yeah sounds like an alloy, I sometimes stick some solder in when making pirks, makes them harder and gives them a shine.
