Just a thought has anyone tried using applicator and plunger from the armamesh kit with a finger bandage.Could be the best of both worlds and save money as you can buy 20mtrs of finger bandage for £7.99.well worth a try IMHO.

Its the easiest way to fill finger bandage.I used it when i was making cart and its a doddle.
Use the 14mm,the 22 is too big.

I'm going to try it stuffed into squid tonight, worth a try. I'm going to try a few methods over the next few weeks, had loads of advice and going to try all of the suggestions and see what happens.

I've used the mesh for the last 2 years and recently just sTarted to use tights, it does wash out quicker in the mesh than other stuff but I was still getting 20mins a cast out of it, even on the end of tynemouth in the tide run.

The only reason I've switched to tights is to keep the cost down as I only use the red stuff in my cart, I don't bulk it out with the brown meat or skin and it does get quite expensive.

tried mesh, cling film, finger bandage, and tights.

all similar. the main difference been how long the cart lasts in each one.

mesh and finger bandage i find the cart doesnt last long enough.

same with thin denier tights, however some of the higher thicker deniers are spot on. this works best for me.
only down side with tights, they catch the fishes teeth i think, and result in apparent huge bites and no end result. (learned the hard way)
best with a top pennel hook, and smothered in mussel, bluey or crab/edible.

absolute top dollar bait up that is for 3lb plus +( larger fish)
