frasers and ian woods comps

I rarely see another boat on a wreck when I'm out , when I do it's usually one of the charters . One of the reasons I got a boat in the first place was to get away from the crowds and find my own quiet place to fish , you'd think that would be easy in the north sea but if you want to fish wrecks there are only so many out there and out of those there are only a few with fish on them so chances are you are going to have company. Having said that , at Amble the rough ground seems to see more boats following each other than the wrecks do.

Both of you's are right there, Creswell early on is the only time we ever see another boat beside us up at Amble. I know a lot of my fishing is at silly o clock starts but that is what put me off the Tyne even though I live in Newcastle. The thought of having to share a drift just doesn't do it for me. Flying out of the piers at half three with not a soul around and getting on the first wreck for breaking daylight! Cracking! I have deceided as well, as soon as she is cleaned, polished, engines serviced and antifouled I am going to have a go at the Norhthern hills uptiding, hopefuly late feb. I haven't got a clue what I am doing but will have a go anyway!
I would think the Hills at between 14-20m deep should be ok, reading a few articles from down South this seems to be around the depth they fish in on broken ground? Any advice would be welcomed!

Graham.

uptiding

its got to be worth a go mate,:)you might have to put afew days in trying different spots, states of tide different baits etc.have to say if sea was flat i might have a run out to a couple or fifteen wrecks:)give them a good dusting before the charter boats get them:D:D

If people are looking for sponsors I may be able to help in a couple of month, don't think I could offer 'loads' as I still have a wife and son to feed but I'm in the process of setting up a fishing shop (online) and starting to order some stock so I should be able to offer something.

If it could be of help shoot me a PM (who ever wants to take charge as it were) and we can have a wee chat :)
