BLACK SHEEP KAYAK PIC.jpg
Black Sheep Kayaks will be showcasing the Freedom Hawk Kayak from the U.S.A. at the North East Sea Angling and Boat Show. This is the only one of its kind in the U.K. at present and is an inovation of kayak design, being produced with the fisherman in mind. This is no ordinary kayak and is the only purpose built fishing kayak in the world where you can sit down or stand up. The "Freedom" is the first Angling Kayak designed from the waterline up, to allow the user to stand, safely and comfortably, thanks to the patented Integrated Outrigger design. Simply pull the two levers located on either side of the hull to open the rear Outriggers - and enjoy stability like you never thought possible.

could take the grand bairns out in that, one in each outrigger, or even the dog. Would like to see it in a choppy sea to, see how it handles, pity i am away, would of liked to have had a look.

Am looking forward to the show, have had to juggle some things around, but will be worth it. I used to drive all the way to Birmingham, pay a £10 to park, £10 (I think) to get into the show, and then stay overnight at a hotel, never mind the petrol there and back.
All to see about 5 sea angling stalls.
I am looking forward to this years show.

Freedom hawk kayaks

I am hoping to arrange a demonstration day for this kayak for anyone who is interested. Will speak to them at the show. There will be pictures on their stand at the show, as it has been well tried and tested on the South Coast. Total Sea Fishing Magazine were also very impressed and their article should be published soon. Recent trials were carried out in the Lake District and a local Fisheries Officer, who was very dubious at the start, tried it for himself ... and at the end of the day, his comment was "I want one". Tests and trials have been carried out both in the sea and on fresh water. Carl and Frank, who will be on their stand will be very pleased to answer any questions.
(A special one has been ordered for Alan - which will only catch MACKEREL)

kayak testing

 hi sam, tell the lads should they wish to test those kayaks, get themselves down the sluice beach today "lovely conditions" lol.

Just got back from helping set up the stands for the show and had a good look at those Freedom Hawke Kayaks. They are a serious bit of kit, you can actually stand up and cast in it and they claim it is immposible to turn it over. Get along to the show and take a look at it If they get enough interest they will do a sea demo on sunday evening or monday.

They cost less than £1000. You just have to see it and you want one. Great Kayak and very stable. You can even put a motor on the thing.

Just back from the show , wor lass looked at the kayaks and said "you are not going to sea in one of those !!!" Bad enough you going in the boat you've got she said :). Saw some nice brochures for benneteau's and picked out a nice 8 series for me ....... wait till I tell her how much they cost :D She'll have me out in a yak :D

It's got a git big hose attached to the well Alan, the other end will be shortly surfacing in the back garden, you'll be able to lie on a deck chair reading Ernest Hemmingway and have them funnelled down your gregory like a big fishy foie gras thingmy doodle :o
