Well, the date is finally set as Friday for the new boat arriving at Seaham.

Dont know how others have felt getting a boat delivered but i'm a bag of nerves..

I had a few qoutes for a delivery price, but in the end i went for a reputable company who delivers all over europe that was £50 more expensive than the cheapest quote, and keep in touch at various steps of the trip...:)

I've decided to keep the boat name which is "Sable" as now i cant afford new stickers....:D;)

Best of luck Chris with the new boat, sure all will be well.I wouldnt change the name anyway (been too long at sea and the the old myths are ingrained LOL)

It was a few years ago when mine made its way up the A1 and I still remember it well. Like you I was a bag of nerves about it getting here OK, waiting for the texts and updates and down at the marina earlier than I’ve even been since.

Good luck with it all, the weather is looking good so you may be able to get out as soon as she’s afloat.

Keep us posted.

:D:Dlook at it this way chris :D:D if its comes off the waggon and ends up upside down at the side of the road,or if it arrives with a 1 metre hole in the hull:D:D:D

ITS ONLY A BOAT:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Good luck Chris, i know what your going through i was the same a couple of months back with the added stress of knowing i was driving it home by sea.

I am sure all will go well, as you say a few extra quid will give you less stress with the updates etc. You should have it just intime for the season to get into full flow as its still stop start at the moment :)

Cheers Dunc, that makes me feel a whole lot better...:D;)

I had an email from the owner today, and he said the boat was owned by a retired signwriter, who never used stick on transfers in his life, he did all his artwork with a "Sable" brush....so thats where the boat name came from...
