Well here's the fruits of my trip over the the west for the weekend headed from Garlieston harbour south in the direction of Whithorn took an hour to walk there but worth the effort bait taken was rag and frozen sandeel fished the tide up to high water then back 3hrs on the sunday had a long rod out fishing a two hook flapper rig and tried spinning with light gear found loads of little pollock and a couple about 1lb then 1 1/2lb great fun.

I got 4 doggies and even our lass got into the action with one on the float.

This was on the monday forgot to take feathers so bought a string from the local shop and hit into a shoal but the feathers were knackered after these so tried spinning again but nothin had a lovely couple of days well worth it!:):):)

good report ivan, sounds like a good trip, theres been fair size cod down our way when the seas rough.always good too get away this time of year though - :)

Aye really enjoyed it Dean it sure beats work even had the sun cream on LOL pleased to hear theres few knockin about cant wait till the boat season kicks off properly:)
