Gear ready..boat not

Well thats it wiped out, the last bit of cod/ling was taken out the freezer today and eaten, already being pestered to stock it up with 2-4lb cod and odd ling......4 weeks and counting until we try :)

checked mine last night and I've got 2 fillets of ling and a large fillet of cod to get scranned before the season starts :)

Norman, i think the sequin is going abit too far.:D:D. Yes thats what i've done bead inside and outside.
The seller on ebay was, sailorsimeseahooksandswivels, his name is longer than night shift, he had 5 lots of 100, in different colours, all the other colours went for over £5.00, the orange were the last ones up, i stuck a bid in for £3.00 and won them for £2.70 + P/P.
Where do you bulk but your O'shaugnesys Norm ?

Haha can't help it Chris what with all the dancing on Ice on TV and all that :) :) ....... but seriously, the sequins stop the knot better so save it pulling up the line :) :) I would say they have a "smaller more robust hole" than the beads ..... but thats probably not the best phrase to use :) :)

Just ordered 100, O'shaugnessys for £4.20, cheap as chips, thanks for the help lads, still got 60 muppets to rig up.......Happy Days..:)

Well all the gear back on now and a quick wash down but boy it was cold with that sea wind.

Tasks to do....

New wiper
New water impela
Sand and paint the wood
Test the outboard after service
GO FISHING ;)

Yes, it was nice to be back onboard Richy, just a pity about the weather that wind was bloody cold. It was nice to see the little lady again it seemed a life time ago since last being onboard. Hopefully I'll get to use that elbow grease and get her polished up for the new season thats if the weather will be kind an allow meto do so.

A few sandeel dropped and half eaten by the birds on the boat when i went down, when the painting is done and the odd jobs finished it will take some polish to get them winter stains out...sad but cant wait :)

First 2 fish of the season on Stingray :)

Went down the boat to do abit of work and put a rod out over the side with mackerel on one hook and crab on the other, in the space of the 2hrs i landed a eel of 1lb and a 7" coalie....its a start :)
