Gentlemanly Conduct

The pressure on the Tyne wrecks this year will be unreal looking at all the new boats in the marina's, like every mark they will be blitzed with lost tackle etc, i am not one of the fastest boats and max out at 11.8 but never let that stop me, i go where i think the fish are..i would love to have a boat capable of hitting 30+ mile marks every weekend.

Good luck to everyone thats fishing this year and just for the record i dont like sharing a wreck but you will still be greeted friendly everytime upto the point i feel you do something silly and risk the boat or the people on it :)

Been a good thread

Get behind me!!!

Get behind me!!!

If I'm on a wreck I dont mind if other boats come to join me because we don't have exclusive rights. What really hacks me off is when they join me by taking a position in front of me on the drift. One of the main offenders for this practice is a charter boat who you would assume should know better. I'm not going to name names and it's certainly not the JFK or Mistress but the ignorant bxxxxxd needs to brush up on angling protocol.

i dont mind sharing, but my tactic is simple for boats approaching a wreck im on “ all right lads you caught anything" NO very poor, were gonna move after this drift" Not very sportsmanly conduct i know, but it works every time, i must say we only said this to people we didnt know.

Yeah , sharings no problem we generally know each other anyway, you usually end up in a drift circle and the craic with others is great (you see more takes as well).
The only no no is when "*******" divers decide to ignore the fishing, push their way in, drop anchor and prepare to dive ..................... , mind you an 8/0 treble on a fast pirk usually sorts that out. (and a pleasant exchange of views of course !)

If divers are on a wreck ... I pass .. no problem , I just wish they were the same with us ........ but they will learn .. I'm sure .... :D:D:D
