Bit of a special day today. I was fortunate to be part of the escort from the Royal Quays back to Seaham, along with the lifeboats from Sunderland and Hartlepool. I'll put a link on here after the photo's if you want to read the full story...:)

Laying of the wreath to commemorate those who perished in the disaster in 1962.....

Back home at last...

Here's a link to the story, worth the read...

It was pretty special and a bit emotional as well. It was strange how the weather picked up for the final mile, then just as the George Elmy was between the dock gates, and home, there was a massive clap of thunder and a flash of fork lightening....spooky....:)

Aye i forgot about the thunder bit weird weather wise today i have been watching the lads who built it on YouTube amazing to watch the old style building
