Giving the new rod a run out on SSP.

Fished Shields pier today from 12 till 5 after getting a half day off work. Two dabs were my reward for over 5 hours in the cold. On the plus side I like the new rod a lot, it is an MTI Zero 250. I had been wanting one of these for some time and with an offer of a brand new one delivered for £105 I couldn't resist. It didn't get a real workout but it casts well and the bite detection was good, just need to test it out with a decent fish, hopefully in The Derek Russell comp on Sunday.
Hope there's a decent turn out for it and even if you are not fishing the comp you can still sponsor the lads who are so dig deep people.

WSF shop. I got 30% discount for one day only. I don't think they have the 300 though.

I removed the trigger grip from the Talon and it works great. Don't know what it will be like in the long run but it was fine today. I think it is the price that puts people off because it is quite a clever bit of kit.
