Go North my Friend

It is really not that expensive to go you know less than people think, no more than a week all inclusive to Spain and only the cost of about 26 wrecking trips from the Tyne...cant do much about the wife and kids mind :)

One year i wish to try early April up there when the "big cod" come in for nookie but the weather at that time of year could have your full 7-8 boating days tied up on land.

With the choice of location this year it has a large pier into 60ft of water and good reports of coalie, cod, dab and halibit upto 60lb from it so i will be packing a few rigs for that just incase we cant make it out one day or i have any energy left when we get back from the boat :)

Well not like i am counting the days :) but less than 7 months now until this.......

As i said before as long as i am still working i plan to hit Norway once a year every year, it knocks spots off our coast fishing and a amazing part of the world for sights and wildlife.
dont blame you mate good luck get yersel a few monsters and put them on here;)atb plum

Well some people think you just need to drop a line and you will get a fish but anyone that has been knows the area is vast and the fish all stick together in large shoals with miles of nothing fishy. In short find the herring shoals you find the coalie, under the coalie you find the cod, if you make it through the cod you get the haddock, ling or halibit :)

We had some hard days last year in norway not taken many fish but also some great days with a fish or two a drop for as long as you stayed on the marks with more fish over 12lb than under the full week. I mean we all had new PB's with cod to 42lb, big halibit big coalie, big torsk, monster haddock and more its a great location but never take it as a given you will catch.

Cabt wait to go anyway but also cant wait for a bumper 2013 season out the Tyne...got that good feeling this year :)

Looks like a busy year Rich with the prospect of some fantastic fishing as long as the weather plays its part. Good luck for the coming season as well.

Would love to give it a shot, but would have to get rid of 4 things first...
