Good session at Chatton fishery

Arrived at 11-30am to a blue sky and no wind, first time here and a pleasant looking place to fish. Started with a fritz lure on the first lake but things were slow. There were 8 other rods there but never saw a fish for the first hour.
By now i'd changed to a beaded bloodworm and got a 1.1/2lb rainbow, then only one moor pull on that, so went round to the east side as an easterly breeze was starting. Tried a black buzzer accompanied with a pheasant tail but nowt. Then tried a small Dawsons olive and got 3 more rainbows up to 2.1/2lb. With 5mins to go, I put the bloodworm pattern back on and was straight into another rainbow. I'd also had 5 other good pulls in the last 2 hours.
So to me, it was a successful enjoyable 4hrs and my thanks go to fisherman mick who put me on to Hatton trout fisheries. I was on catch and release so no pics.:):)

Thats awesome mate, glad you had a great day there. Like I said I only hear good things about the place, and no rod license is a bonus lol
I will be going again when I get some new fly gear (sold mine last yr :()
Do they still do the loyalty card?

Yes, they still do the loyalty card Mick. Will defo be back up there again soon, mabee with the caravan for a couple of days. cheers:)

What, sold yer fly gear, sold yer caravan, hope the sea gear isn't next:D

LOL sold caravan years ago. Sold Fly gear and sea gear and course gear when my 3yr old got diagnosed with Leukaemia last year. Hes doing well now (altho still over 2yrs of treatment to go), and wanted to get back into fishing, but wanted to stay near home, and living like a 2 miles away from the sea, sea gear was a no brainer lol. I shall fly fish again, I like "catching" fish lol

Sorry to hear that Mick, glad he's doing well and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Me and my size 10's.
How's the sea fishing going, are you having much success.

Cheers mate.

To be honest...no success at all lol
Only managed a couple a trips out, and blanked both times, but I am hearing this is not uncommon at the mo. Gonna try at the weekend, if my neck frees up. Damn muscles in there went twang a few days ago, and now I can hardly move from the shoulders up. Couldn't cast :( fingers crossed it'll free up by then.

A little bit of info fella's, instead of Chatton raising the prices this year they have changed the loyalty card from 5 visits to 6 visits to qualify for a freebie.

The "new" third lake will be open on Good Friday.
