hi all after seein the sea and reading reports decided to start my season off today went down this morning dug fresh worm and a few fresh mussel and headed for blyth north pier for high water my thought were to hit the ruff stuff i also took the flatty rod down to fish the river incase things were poor most of the action started on the little rod then thing picked up which resulted in my 1st codling of around 1 3/4lb had pleanty bites wich came to nothing then just as it got dark managed another around 2lb in total i ended up with 3decent whiting 3flounder 1dab and 4 coalies which were around 34 35cm mark and 2codling all fish was released today with only the whiting not making the fall was abit rusty on the striking of fish today but a good start of my season heres a few pics if it works
