years ago I bought a zebco trophy microbite rod off tim at temples,it never got used and ended up at the back of my outhouse hiden away, looking at lrf reports reminded me so I dug it back out, stuck a little daiwa procaster reel on with some 5lb line, had no jig heads or plastics(ordered some now)so I nipped 2 split shot on and a drennan size 10 hook with barb crushed, took one little frozen squid from tesco and went down the lighthouse.crossed over when a inch or so water left on road and went to the big gully near crisps.cut thin strip of squid and put hook through the end so had lots of wiggle, flicked it up the gully and a few twitches got a take, fished for a hour and had loads of little grannys.they make a strange sound when unhooking them.lol.wanted a little wrasse but none came along.had a walk over to back of island and flicked the squid out into the gully next to the stone pillar ,couple of pulls than got a little coaly/pollock ?,also got a rockling that got away when I was getting my phone out.good couple of hours with a few strange looks of people who must have thought I was nuts.haha.anyone know anywhere else that has deep gullys/pools that might have anything lurking in.also got this strange looking crab when I let bait settle on bottom,he only had one claw and I got him three times

Spend many days down there myself. Used to fish that gully alot with light gear and limpets. There are some deep gullies around the sumps (behind the breakwater at sluice). Fish them at high water with the same tactics. You cant go wrong.
