Got an early start today and fished slack water on the wreck to the east of the Whitley Bay can. I took three decent cod up to 6lb and a ling nudging 9lb but when the tide turned the wind also freshened from the south east.
I came inside and drifted the hard ground for a few hours but only added three more cod and another decent ling. Anyway, the sun was shining and it was just great to be out there.

Well done we fished the hard ground at Craster. I lost 6 leads and a pirk so not to bad in 8 hrs.

I am out Wed but just Plaice fishing for a change..nice to see the ling, i love seeing them until about the 2nd week in June lol
