Evening lads!

Anyone used the above? Want something decent for the bass nd pollock over the west coast. Got a bit spare cash to get 1 and henry gilbey bangs on about this being a great rod for sensible money. Gone are the days of a cheap spinning rod, im looking to upgrade!

I've had one for 3 years. Great rod for the money if you don't mind the hot pink anodizing. Good for hard lures, not so good for softs if you want to fish weightless but using jigheads or weighted weedless hooks you can manage.

Upgraded to a Branzino last year so the teklon is now a spare, can't praise the teklon highly enough for the money though.

I can only reiterate what Pulp has said, I've totally abused mine for the last years and it's still going strong, can't fault it.

teklon 832 here, great rods. ive used pulps 802 a few times, the difference between both rods is barely noticeable.

the 802 seems to walk a little better but that could be down to my **** wtd technique 8)

The teklon is an excellent rod if you don't like the pink the same blank is marketed as a "Akita black rock" and comes with a slightly lower price tag & blue whippings.

So bassboyo u think the cheaper will be just as good? Can get the grauvell for 99.99

I've held both side by side, the grauvell is slightly lighter due to slightly better fittings. The rods are just as good as each other, if it was my choive and for no other reason I'd go for the Teklon only because its pink 😜

Most certainly. Im after a small spinning reel too. 3 or 4 thousand size u think? Dont suppose you know of a shimano stella being marketed as a fladen haha. Any reccommendations? Have around 50 quid. Ideally I need to got it from a shop as im going to the west coast on Friday

IMO you won't go wrong with an Exage 3000 for you budget brilliant little reel.

As bassboyo mentioned you won't go wrong with exage, as for the okumas nice little real but if your considering one buy it local , I bought the 40s and the second time I used it the roller bearing started making a unearthly noise, took it apart and the grease was dry,, after a couple more uses had to pay attention to the roller bearings what the handle sits on, then q couple of weeks after that the return spring for the bail snapped and I always close the bail manually , hope it'd just me getting a bad one but beware ,
