Great day for junior

Day 5 of the Whitby angling festival was a great day for local junior barny sixsmith.

Day 5 - Daily prizes

1. Andy Spilman - ling 12 pounds 2 ounces Achates
2. D Green Ling 10-12 - Shytorque
3. Glen Clark Ling 10-2.5 Sea Otter 2

Again the junior daily winner was local youngster Barny sixsmith with yet another cracking cod, just 1 ounce less than yesterday, from Rich wards shytorque. Barny says he fished mackerel flappers all day in an attempt to catch the big one. I think that deserves a big pat on the back to the youngster for know what methods take the big fish and heving the perseverance to continue bait fishing all day whilst others on the boat were catching lots of smaller fish on lures. Barny was also fourth overall today just missing out on the daily overall prize money.
