great little session seaham pier 21/9/11

fished seaham pier 6pm til 10pm nothing til it got dark then fish every chuck mainly whitings (2 and 3 at a time) a few flats (flounders and dabs) and a first for me from seaham pier 3 dogfish, 2 of these on the same cast along with a whiting. all fish caught on macky strip, must of easily had over 60 fish on 2 rods, nothing big but non stop action, bites within 30 seconds of casting most times.

well done on your haul,the doggies are certainly making a show this year mind which is unusual on this coast but more than welcome as they give a canny fight!:)

well done mate did you manage a cuppa inbetween all that fishing last time l fished with two rods went home with a full flask:D
 
well done mate ...m just wondering would i have luck with doggies from the spiles? not a member at the moment ..and would rather not climb gates/...the only bit of the pier i can fish will be the spiles...whaddya reckon?

you could try the blast beach then, usually one or two on there. :)

nice fish mate but wot a bugger to skin :mad: easiest way nail them to a plank of wood 2 cuts behind back of head tear off with pliers :(:( good luck :D
 
Cracking session Micky, sixty fish is bloody good going. Love catching doggies myself and eating them but its a bit offputting when you go to take the hook out and they screw their face up:rolleyes:

but then again the scruffys sods eat jellied eels :eek::eek: tied them once like eating an old tramps leather boot

better off putting them back and having some birdseye fish fingers :D:D

more expensive than cod in the fish shop as well:o:o
 
i suppose in the highlands of scotland where shops are many miles away any fish caught is food for the table hockeye the noooo jimmie :D
