Great Spinning Session South Shields Pier Sunday 21st Aug

[Thunderpants]

Got down to the pier 5.15am this morning with my spinning rod and some cheap 28g silver minnows from Reelsports. There was only one other lad fishing on the pier about half way up and nobody on the end so I started at the small wall and landed six mackeral and a coalie. Almost had another one but it fell of as I was pulling it up the wall and didn't get a good look to see what it was. After about three hours I moved down to the blocks where I pulled in another mackeral and this cracking pollack .....

I packed in about 11am. What a great morning - lovely sunshine and nine fish all of which were size except the coalie. Champion.

Yeah mate my rod was bent over double and it was a right struggle hauling it up the pier wall A great battle.

The gate opens at 7.30am mate. I think the climb around is probably a bit dodgy for a youngun so you may be better off waiting until then.

No shame mate, I never go fishing thinking its my god giving right to catch fish because thats not fishing to me.
I forgot to mention in my first post to congratulate you on your catch better late than never and my apologize, well done mate.
