Great white

a think it's write, the water's getting warmer, the larger fish are coming in to feed on mackeral, (for a couple of year now the netter's and commercial boat's have been catching yellow striped tuna), and the food chain continue's to the bigger shark's.

Yes but did we not use to get tuna of Whitby a few years back so maybe this is just things returning to what they used to be?

Great Whites have probably always been around our coast. They don't mind too much about water temperature as they, and their close relative the Mako, are warm blooded. A large number of Great Whites are in the Med. they get caught in the Tuna nets. They enjoy munching on Seals so take a bit heavier gear when you go fishing near St. Mary's. :D

Yea great whites actually like cooler water. Most people think they warm water sharks and they aint. Also unlike a lot of other sharks they mainly stay close to the coast thats why they so dangerous to beach users. All the fish scientists baffled as to why great whites arnt around britain cause wit thd seals water temps etc its perfect for em

There is a large population off San Fransisco which has colder water than ours. As said, they have been taken and found in the med. it just shows that they are able to withstand a good range of water temps.

The main thing is the lack of food. Now that the seal huggers have been protecting that colony on St Mary's, there is a seal explosion! Next stop a great white. Let's see the seal patrols faces when there fluffy little seal gets huge lumps chewed out of it by a geet big fish!

Defiantly think they are here or at least will be soon...
