wondered what sort of ground this rod is capable of fishing?
its rated 3-6oz but has a extremely thin tip
I have checked the greys website and it doesnt really say, neither does anywhere that sells it they just repeat the same spiel
Its the lightest in the newest apollo range, does this mean it wont be able to handle the rough stuff like the others??
It certainly feels up to the job, has anyone got any experience with this rod?

I got this rod for the tynemouth matches it has a stiffish button and a soft tip, the tip blows around a bit in the wind compared to my mates anyfish anywhere match rod, I would use it on clean to mixed ground but will not handle the rough that's my opinion cheers garry

Thanks Gary, i think what you have said is right
I noticed the tip blowing around a bit when using it in fairly light/moderate winds, not enough to miss any bites, but i still think there are better rods for higher winds big seas
Not a bad rod but i dont think its worth the rrp
cheers
