have had both still got the 13' as snapped my 14' ( MY FAULT)the only difference is the but as far as I am concerned is the length of butt, cos if you lay them side by side they are exactly the same, except the but, is foot longer and as I used to have a 14' and 2 at 13' u, were not able to tell the difference of the tips looked and and preformed and handled very similar , as I used all tips at one tme or another on either of the 3 butts, that is my view ,others
may have different views though

I currently have the chance of both rods just undecided what length to go for one being £100 more expensive than the other

Get the cheaper one lol. I had one a few years back, 13ft I think but not 100%. Doubt you would be disappointed.

you should not be disappointed in either, I prefer the 14' as I think it easier to cast and like a said before I believe tips are both the same.

if you go after the 13, can u pass on to seller I am interested in the 14' or get his phone number and P M me it and a will get in touch with him

Depending how much your paying for them there decent enough rods but don't pay silly money for them as there's better more modern rods out there for same or not much more money.

I'd certainly second that - I sold an immaculate 14 footer a year or two ago for £100 and the lad was well happy with it. I certainly can't imagine how one could be £100 more than the other (unless the cheaper is a dog going for about£20!!). The most I'd pay for an exceptional condition one would be about£120 - and don't fall for that "just been re-built by Roddy Rodbuilder so it's worth a fortune" bollox - a rebuild adds very little to the value of a rod. Personally, if I was after another Apollo I'd look for a Mk 3 version - similar but an improvement I reckon to the original and miles better than the blue Mk 2 which was a horrible rod. Underrated too so they can probably be had at a reasonable price.

Gary :)

Indeed it was went and looked and just couldn't walk away and leave it at that price to be fair I almost felt as though I may have short changed the lad but I'm not a one for complaining soon be time to take it out
